while referring various authors of eletromagnetic theory i saw the same question solved in different formets in different dooks.
for example the stokes theorem is proved in an ordinary method in the dhananjayan author while the authors lik mathew sadiq and gangadhar rao have used incremental area method to prove those theorem and same is the case for divergence theorem etc...
similarly dhananjayan author proves all the derivations in magniude form alone without considering the vector format for some derivations
but in our prescribed mathew all the prob in vector format alone
Dear MURALI It is always better to refer prescribed books like Sadique moreover it is better if you derive the euations with respect to both magnitude and direction. But there is no such rule that you have to stick to some rule or any book as seen from the examination point of view. You will be given due credit irrespective of the method you follow. The most important thing is that you shud present it neatly and a legible manner. So do not get confused and follow whichever book you find easy.Try to give importance to vector also.I hope that your dilemma is cleared & if you are not sastisfied then post again..
